Emma Seibert
Administrative Assistant
Emma Seibert joined the Smith NMTC Associates, LLC team in spring 2026 as Administrative Assistant. With previous experience providing professional administrative and operational support in the construction and legal industries, Emma is excited to lend her skills and knowledge toward supporting the mission-driven work of Smith NMTC in expanding access to affordable homeownership opportunities and community resources.
In her role, Emma supports leadership and team operations and vendor relationships, helping ensure smooth organizational processes and efficient collaboration across the company.
Emma earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, with minors in pre-law and history. During her studies, she focused on international affairs and domestic terrorism, contributing to a $3.3 million U.S. Department of Homeland Security–funded research initiative examining the threat of political violence in rural communities. Her academic experience strengthened her analytical thinking, research capabilities, and understanding of complex societal challenges—perspectives that align with Smith NMTC’s work in underserved communities.
Prior to joining Smith NMTC, Emma worked at a law firm specializing in mesothelioma cases, where she supported clients in the Trust Claims department, helping secure compensation from bankrupt entities. This experience reinforced her attention to detail, organizational discipline, and commitment to handling sensitive processes with accuracy and care.
Emma is known for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, team-oriented environment. She is particularly excited to reconnect with nonprofit-focused work, building on her earlier involvement with community organizations and contributing to Smith NMTC’s mission from a new and impactful perspective.
