Nearly 50 New Homes Added with $7M Allocation for cdcb

come dream come build  (CDCB) was founded in 1974 to provide safe and affordable housing to residents of the Rio Grande Valley in Brownsville, Texas, one of the poorest cities in the U.S.

As one of the largest nonprofit developers of single family housing in Texas, CDCB will use a $7M NMTC allocation, to build 23 homes in the Palo Alto Groves subdivision, a predominantly Latino community, all of which will be sold to low income buyers, and 26 homes in the Brownsville area, which will also be available to low income buyers, all of whom will benefit from proximity to jobs and community services.

CDCB is a multifaceted affordable housing organization devoted to utilizing collaborative partnerships to create sustainable communities across the Rio Grande Valley through quality education, model financing, efficient home design, and additional supports for their homebuyer families.

CDCB received a $5M allocation from HPN in 2017 which enabled it to build 42 affordable homes in Brownsville and the surrounding area.
