Housing Channel Allocation Adds More Than 20 Homes to Fort Worth Area

Housing Channel is a North Texas nonprofit developer with a 30 year history of revitalizing neighborhoods and providing quality affordable housing with the goal of providing wealth creation opportunities through homeownership, creating educated and empowered homeowners, to lift neighborhoods and strengthen communities.

With a $6M NMTC allocation from HPN, Housing Channel will add 12 townhomes to Irving Commons in the Heritage Crossing District and 9 homes in the Fort Worth area, with a project mission of promoting racial equity. Housing Channel works with strategic partners to provide an array of housing development activities, including administering down payment and closing cost assistance programs, providing homeowner counseling and administering acquisition, rehabilitation, and resale programs. Housing Channel employs an integrated, holistic strategy that provides critical assistance to current and potential homeowners in all stages of ownership.

Housing Channel received a $5M allocation from HPN in 2017 and developed 27 homes.
